Hi, I am Julia Pender and I have been going to Cornerstone Church for about 2 years. I have met and seen so many great people who have changed my life greatly. My family and I are originally from South Carolina and when we were there we found a great church. While we were there it was an emotional roller coaster; we had ups and downs. One of my favorite verses is Joshua 1:9 it says Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. “Do not be afraid; Do not be discouraged, the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go (Bible Gateway ).” That verse reminds me of when I was in that church down in South Carolina they were doing communion. I took one look at the bread and juice and I just sat there crying because I couldn’t have any of it. That day may have been God’s signal to me that I need him and that I really loved him more than I thought . When I remember that day, now I see that I needed God in my heart. But one night I was trying to fall asleep with my dad and I realized I needed Jesus and I discovered I was not happy without him in my life and then I asked him for forgiveness. Now… I am seeing people that need Jesus and I just pray that they would find him. I think back and I am so happy that I have Jesus Christ with me.
