May 20th, 2020 – Our current thoughts on re-starting our weekly worship service

Dear Church,

You may have heard that on Monday, May 18th, Governor Baker announced the limited reopening of churches who abide by the Places of Worship guidelines. Our Elders and Deacons met Monday evening to discuss plans for returning to gathered worship. While we are eager to see each other in person, we do not want to rush back in and risk spreading sickness among ourselves. For that reason we have decided to wait at least until June to have gathered worship at Cornerstone, but may decide as things develop that it’s better to wait to phase 2 or 3 of Massachusetts Four-Phase Approach to reopening.

We do hope to worship together again soon. It will be really nice to see you all in person, but for now let’s hold tight and see how things go. Our Annual Meeting will still be held via Zoom on May 31st at 11:30am, where we can talk further about what reopening might look like. Also, feel free to reach out to any one of the Elders or Deacons if you have any questions. As always, we are continuing to LiveStream our Sunday 10:15am worship service on both our website and Facebook page. We hope to see you there.

In Christ, Pastor Jonathan
