CCCC Position Paper on Racial Reconciliation
In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day we want to share with you our denomination’s position paper on racial reconciliation (link to pdf). While this document is not a comprehensive paper addressing every issue, it is a way to continue discussing how to address racism and work towards multiethnic reconciliation. In Christ, your Elders RACIAL RECONCILIATION Preamble “After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people…
Men’s Discipleship Opportunity
Cornerstone guys, You and I may not realize just how important we are to our brothers in Christ. Scripture says much about the benefits. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (ESV) Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Jesus always sent his disciples out in pairs and the early…
Jan 6th Announcement – Worshipping Online Because of Heating System Replacement
Hi Church & Visitors, In response to noting a faint gas smell in the church this past Sunday (Jan 3rd, 2021), it has been determined that the Cornerstone heating systems need replacement. As we work toward accomplishing this and keeping our congregation safe, the church building will not be able to be used. We will revert to the online format that we used in the early months of the COVID-19 outbreak starting this Sunday, January 10th. We welcome…

The Book of Pastoral Rule by Gregory the Great Overview/Review
Pope Gregory the 1st (540-604 AD), also known as Gregory the Great, wrote a book on vocational ministry called The Book of Pastoral Rule. A fellow Doctorate of Ministry (D.Min) student and myself created the following overview as a handout for our class. We hope you will find it helpful as you study his guide for yourself. I personally read this Kindle edition for this assignment (see quotes below). I hear there are other versions with simpler English. I’ve attached…

Until now, we have hesitated to use this method because of the fees involved. Most people do not realize that there is a…
