Ezekiel 43:1-12 reminds us of God’s promise to return to his people in power. If we read through the Old Testament stories, we read of a God who makes his presence known among his people through a glory cloud. He did this at the Sinai tabernacle and Solomon’s temple. The prophet Ezekiel receives a vision of the glory cloud, God’s Holy Spirit, departing the temple but one day returning to a new and everlasting temple that symbolizes God’s holy people. This is ultimately fulfilled in Christ at the Transfiguration and the Church at Pentecost. This story should encourage us as we start a new church in Westford Massachusetts. God comes in glory, in authority, in love, and in holiness. God is coming. Are you ready?
